Good afternoon. Today I am Repentant Brooks, battery commander of Headquarters Battery, First Field Artillery Battalion, 16th Artillery, Second Armored Division. In the next few minutes, you will see a World 5mm howitzer M282 in place, fire, and mark Jordan. This record is currently employed by the infantry and airborne division artillery.
A battery is composed of six collectors, each capable of firing 4 rounds per minute. You can see each camera at the civic duties. They say even since I’ve been over here, the army is pulling out rapidly or leaving nothing but the Air Force and narrative, and the Air Force is reducing so that there is very little military domination, so to speak, to Japan. There used to be the big cheese; we no longer are.
Yeah, family is going in for black sedans and such things as that. The office you’ve been really hectic. Class actually today having a long weekend and just Saturday morning in between. The work was really rough today. All I’ve worked hard loved and everybody going nuts trying to go hang out on time. I know we’re short-handed, so things kind of came to a head today. I hope things calm down a bit more tomorrow.
I might have gotten big project getting some organizational charts for Department of Defense team that’s here in Korea now. The tape on the side about run out and how much there it is. I’ll turn it over now.
Back again now. I don’t plan on spending too much money in Japan. I want to spend as much as I can if I’m buying another uniform, of course. This time, and it’s not that much cheaper over here on the green uniform, that is much, much, much like at least $25-30 over here and get a better uniform if I pay $25-30 more for it. So that way, I think it’s money well spent.
I gotta have two green uniforms anyway, so I will get it over here instead of back in the States. It costs more, but I can afford it. I should get about $107.00 travel pay from San Francisco to Fort Sill, and I’ll be able to buy my plane ticket over here without any tax on it, without any tax on it at all. Till then, I’ll make it cheaper.
Those are the things that you have to start figuring on. It’s a pretty good deal. You’re flying Northwestern from, you know, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles. Now, might not go in San Francisco, unlikely. Can’t wait to get back there.

I don’t think I’ll be buying many civilian clothes. I’ll think I’ll borrow a sport coat to wear in Japan. Maybe I’ll buy a couple summer shirts and maybe a pair of trousers. Lightweight trousers. The ones I bought last time were pretty heavyweight, and I’d be burning up in them.
Biggest thing about doing Japan is taking pictures this time in the Olympics. They can and buying as many gifts as they can. I am not going to send any money this month on the account, so like you could pay many. Main reason being I want to buy the books gifts from Japan, which I won’t be able to do shortly, and I can always pay back the money.
I figure I hope that they will understand that you might, if you can’t pay them money, I hope you can try to make your best effort. Maybe you can explain the situation to them. I’m sure they’ll understand.
And I’ll resume again in the 1st July my total pay. I think I’ve told you 4 and the pay raise is 365. It’ll take about $5 out of that for income tax over the actual take-home pay of about $25.00 a month on the deal.
I wrote University of Maryland, University of Missouri, and I got told you and asked for transcript, my grades and transcript of my grades from Washington University. I got the letter of receipt and forthwith transmittal of my transcripts to the University of Maryland.
With the completion of this course, I’ll have 14 hours to my credit and 13 hours. I’m trying to make an hour more than each for an evaluation. I’ve probably told you all this before, and I like to talk about it to keep my interest up or anything else.
There’s not much opportunity for promotion these days. I’ll have another two to three years probably promoting. I know something in the Army Times the other day that Harry Ruth, Ruth, I’m sure you remember him, will probably be at Fort Sill the same time we are taking. I don’t know what course she’s going out of this same school he’s taking a course probably starting before mine, but I don’t know.
You may be in the same class on it. It’ll be two or three others that I know will be there, like I’ve told you about them already. Couple authors in the office and then Captain Austin, they San Jose tell Matthew’s account. You won’t be an aid. There will be in the same class with me.
And like I told you, not that I’ve clicked all the lesson plans from one of the answers here typed there, so I’ll be right up with it. I’m looking over the lesson plans, the course and surveys. I think by trade course and having just having a true course, why there should be no problem for me at all in that.
If I’m gonna, I’ll be shot. The kids sound like they’re really having a good time, and you sound like you’re having a good time yourself laying out in the sun all the time, like I wish I could do that.
Keep me ward or fragile over here because I’m always accused of having nothing to do, but I’m sure it’s just all in fun, and I should be keep busy and then they wonder about just where the whole thing’s going.
But all the time over here is really pass along rapidly, keeping busy mostly. Biggest thing, I guess, from the passage of time, passage of time. I wouldn’t want to go through it again.
They’re saying wrong with this place is it takes no dependence. You and the kids could be here. Why greedy and joyous assignment, and it’s been an enjoyable place to work for no doubt about that. I really enjoyed the work, but work means nothing unless you and the kids are here.
I’m really happy to hear that you’re losing weight, and I’ll be looking real pretty when I get home, huh? You don’t have to cut off your hair just for me. Wear it the way you want, of course. I prefer it shared, but that’s up to you.
Maybe you’ve got a Jag on now where it’s long and have been keeping my haircut real short, and I have some more pictures another Oscar took. I’m going to bum off thing, so I’m home to you.
They are most everybody over here keeps your haircut pretty short. It’s just a not everybody, but quite a few of us too.

Die 24 last I saw a baseball game between the rocks and the rock Air Force, rock army against the rock Air Force. I wrote you about that, and not much doing.
I haven’t been doing much outside of working, and I’m sure you’re not too interested in that. I haven’t got any more out about Fort Hood. Yeah, things seem to be, my understanding, things seem to be pretty nice down there.
The officers who come back from there recently, come from there recently been assigned there recently.
